Introduction:
Trifluralin is a selective, pre-emergence dinitroaniline herbicide used to control many annual grasses and broadleaf weeds in a large variety of tree fruit, nut, vegetable, and grain crops, including soybeans, sunflowers, cotton, and alfalfa. Pre-emergence herbicides are applied before weed seedlings sprout. Trifluralin should be incorporated into the soil by mechanical means within 24 hours of application. Granular formulations may be incorporated by overhead irrigation. Trifluralin is available in granular and emulsifiable concentrate formulations.
